BIOSFERICKÁ REZERVÁCIA POĽANA AKO FORMA KLASTRA
ABSTRACT:
We consider cluster as a model for increasing the enterprises´ competitiveness. Nevertheless, fusion and creation of the cluster only represent just a first step to the goal. Clusters support research and region development. Through their activities, taking needs of their individual members into account, they contribute to share the costs related to the innovation support and cooperation. Answering the needs not only of companies or residents but also those of country constitutes an inseparable component of regions´ sustainable development. Implementing laws covering environmental protection into working procedures of organisations as well as into everyday life in regions is a prerequisite for their further subsistence. Biosphere reserves serve as an example of a sustainable living, feasible balance and mutual interaction between human being and natural environment. On the territory of the Poľana Biosphere Reserve an effort to acquire a sustainable development, to channel investments mainly into the creation of job opportunities, by means of consuming and producing of local commodities, developing projects funded by home and foreign financial resources that could in the end help to preserve customs and cultural traditions of the Podpoľanie could be seen.

ANALÝZA OPTIMÁLNEHO NAČASOVANIA INVESTÍCIE DO FOTOVOLTAICKÝCH SYSTÉMOV
ABSTRACT:
Photovoltaic systems can be installed anywhere and the installation cost of solar modules is decreasing, which makes solar energy more attractive to the investors. Uncertainty regarding the future electricity prices reduces their attractiveness and makes valuing of solar systems more difficult. This paper describes real option method for determining the optimal timing of the investment. A case study using the real option binomial model is used to evaluate the investment value of small photovoltaic system and to determine the effect of price uncertainty on the option value.

COMPARISON OF BIDDING STRATEGY FOR SEALED BIDS AND ENGLISH REVERSE AUCTIONS
ABSTRACT:
In this paper a methodology to prove the bidding strategy of sellers for two selected tender methods, a sealed bid and an English reverse auction, is designed. The bidding strategies are based on an assumption of rational behaviour of the sellers in each of tender method. The sellers in the sealed bid submit the best bid they can. The sellers in the English reverse auction submit an initial bid for the auction, which is higher than their best bid. For the verification an original methodology of statistical testing is designed. It is based on the comparison of coefficients of variation between the two tender methods. In the paper the basic principle, process and practical application of each tender method are also described.

EXTERNÁ DIMENZIA SOCIÁLNEJ FUNKCIE PODNIKU
ABSTRACT:
The idea that businesses may assume and be expected to be assume social responsibilities has been both celebrated and criticized during the entire 20th century. The debate of why or why not business should assume corporate social responsibility has remained virtually unchanged during whole this time. The message from corporate social responsibility advocated continues to be that this conception is a necessary part of a business’ operation s because society demands it. On the other hand, corporate social responsibility critics continue to argue, that businesses should maximise shareholders’ wealth, not social welfare, and managers have no expertise in fighting social issues. The aim of the paper is to examine different understandings of corporate social responsibility as an integral part of social function of business.

PRŮMYSLOVÁ PRÁVA A PODPORA PODNIKÁNÍ
ABSTRACT:
Technological development is a major precondition for economic growth and national prosperity. Inventiveness and creativity were important reasons for the economic leadership of Europe and the USA in the world. However, at present the European Union is lagging behind the world´s great economic powers in technological development. The current system of protection of new technologies in Europe is complicated and lengthy. One of the essential forms of business support is therefore patent protection at the level of the European Union as a whole. But it is necessary to agree on common rules, which would not discriminate none of the members in achieving this aim. Newly, it has been approved the European patent with unitary effect and the Unitary patent court. But this is a very expensive system, disproportionate and it is suitable only for the richest multinational corporations and only for some states. It is disadvantageous for the Czech Republic.

ABSTRACT:
This paper deals with current issues of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in relation to the non-profit sector in the Slovak Republic. CSR is a broad concept that includes Cause-Related Marketing (CRM), corporate philanthropy, private foundations, etc. Currently, many significant companies in the private sector (especially in bank sector) are awared of their important role in the national economy. Therefore, entities establish private foundations to increase living standards in the country. The „boom“ of the establishment of private foundations may be associated with the promotion of the founder of the Non-Profit Organization (or Non-Governmental Organizations). PRACOVNÁ MIGRÁCIA Z VYBRANÝCH EURÓPSKYCH KRAJÍN NA SLOVENSKÝ PRACOVNÝ TRH PO ROKU 2009
ABSTRACT:
Labour migration is inseparably connected to globalisation. The movement of workers from one country to another is an important part of the world’s economy. Most of the developed countries, especially in the European Union, have to overcome the negative demographic development. The other problem is the discrepancy between the qualification of the labour force and the labour market requirements. The same applies to the Slovak Republic. Even though the Slovak Republic had an unemployment rate of 8.64% in January 2017, there still were thousands of job vacancies which could not be occupied by Slovak job-seekers. These problems can be solved by labour migration. This article focuses on three countries – Ukraine, Serbia and Romania and the structure of workers from these countries entering the Slovak labour market.
